Jordan Stilp believes a second podium finish of the Renault UK Clio Cup season so far at Oulton Park puts him in a good position to mount another late challenge for the championship.
Twelve months ago, Stilp followed a relatively slow start to the season with a superb second half of the campaign to make himself an outside shot for the title heading into the season finale.
This time around, the 20Ten Racing man has secured consistent top six finishes so far, seven in the first eight races, with a third place finish at Donington Park being repeated in Cheshire last weekend to maintain a top five championship standing.
The turning point last season was a dominant weekend at Croft, in which he took a clean sweep of the pole positions, race wins and fastest laps, and Stilp knows a repeat of those heroics in Yorkshire next weekend could put him right on course for another title push.

|Wins||Podiums||Fastest Laps||Points||Champ. Position||Gap To Leader|
“We’re doing a lot better this year than we were at this stage last season,” Stilp told TCF. “The Oulton weekend went really well, we got back on the podium for a second time this year which is fantastic.
“Considering we were able to fight for the championship in the closing stages then, it gives us confidence that we close the gap and do it again this year.
“We’re going to try really hard to dominate Croft again this year and do the double, but we appreciate it’s going to be hard considering the talent at the front this season.”
