British telephone and broadband provider Plusnet have announced that they have joined forces with Racing Engineering driver Jordan King in a multi-year sponsorship deal. The deal comes less than a week following the British Grand Prix weekend at Silverstone.

“We love supporting up-and-coming talent, both as the champion of small businesses, and as an employer,” said Plusnet CEO Andy Baker. “Jordan’s an exceptional talent who’s following his dreams and determined to make a difference in his world. Here at Plusnet we know how that feels. So we’re very proud to be supporting him and we’re sure he’ll do us proud.”

The sponsorship deal will see the Plusnet logo feature on twenty-one year old’s Racing Engineering car from the sixth round of the GP2 season in Hungary. The competitive performance put in by King over the course of the Silverstone weekend had caught the eye of Yorkshire-based Company.

Speaking about the new deal, King said: “…I’m delighted to welcome Plusnet on board.

They’re a British company who challenge the major players in their respective field, which is exactly what I am determined to do in the coming years.”

The next round of the GP2 series takes place on 24th-26th July in Budapest.
