Team Pyro Set For Ginetta Junior Entry In 2016

1 Mins read

Leading Renault UK Clio Cup outfit Team Pyro are planning an expansion into the Ginetta Junior Championship for the first time next season.

Pyro have established themselves as the top team in the Clio paddock for the last few years, having won six of the last seven drivers’ titles, and are challenging for this year’s honours with Ash Hand and Ashley Sutton.

The Leicestershire-based outfit, who were unsuccessful in their attempts to expand into MSA Formula this season, will be entering Ginetta competition for the first time with at least one Ginetta G40.

“We have been asked by prospective customers to run them in the junior championship and see this as the best way into top level motorsport in the UK,” said Team Pyro boss Mark Hunt.

“The level playing field that Ginetta provide attracts us and we think that the track time and experience that we and our drivers will gain would be invaluable to progress in the future.”
