1 Mins read

Andre Negrao will make his Formula Renault 3.5 Series race return this weekend at Le Mans after replacing compatriot Pietro Fantin at International Draco Racing.

Negrao, who currently competes in the GP2 Series with the Arden International team, will return to the team he drove in Formula Renault 3.5 for three seasons between 2011 and 2013, with the relationship helped by the fact his father Guto owns the team.

Fantin has been replaced two race weekend’s on from his first podium finish of the season at Silverstone, and was looking to build on a stronger run of form in France before this announcement.

Fantin’s regular team-mate Bruno Bonifacio is also currently absent from the entry list for the race in France, meaning International Draco Racing could race with only one car this weekend.

Draco are currently sitting in seventh place in the Teams’ Championship this season, with Fantin scoring the balk of the points.
