Dan Holland is moving to WDE Motorsport for a return to the Renault UK Clio Cup grid at Silverstone later this month.
Holland missed the latest rounds of the year at Rockingham last weekend following a strong maiden Clio season so far with JamSport Racing.
The 27 year old, who made his Clio debut in the final two rounds of 2014, has shown his potential in qualifying with top six grid starts at Thruxton and Knockhill.
Some bad luck in the races mean Holland has only been able to convert that pace into six top ten finishes so far, with a best finish of seventh on two occasions.
“I’ve seen the results WDE have had and I am just trying something different. Who knows where it will lead…,” said Holland.
“I’ve had a great time with JamSport who in their first season of the Clio Cup are really starting to flourish and have done a lot to support me, but I missed racing at Rockingham so it’ll be nice to be back on the Clio Cup grid.”
Holland’s addition boosts WDE to a four car line-up for the first time in their short Clio tenure, with Holland joining title contender Paul Rivett, Charlie Ladell and Rory Green.
WDE team principal Wayne Eason added: “I think Dan is a phenomenal driver and he’s not yet been able to show what he’s capable of. We had most of the top drivers doing some development work recently in Renault UK’s own Clio Cup test car and he was the fastest of the lot.
“He’s a driver we really want to get behind at WDE and everyone here is very excited about having him in one of our cars at Silverstone.”
