Konstantin Tereschenko is to make his GP3 Series return this week at his home race in Sochi with the Campos Racing team.
The Russian previously featured at last season’s Belgian Grand Prix GP3 weekend with Trident in which he suffered an airborne moment in practice as a result of running over the sausage kerbs and ultimately putting himself out for the rest of the weekend.
Tereschenko is currently competing in his second season of the EuroFormula Open championship and sits in second place of the drivers’ championship.
He will be lining up alongside Spaniard Alex Palou and Kuwaiti Zaid Ashkanani. Palou has scored strongly in the previous two rounds at Spa-Francorchamps and Monza finishing in: fifth place, seven place twice and tenth place to earn a respectable 18 points; with the podium knocking on the door for the Spanish driver.
Team-mate Ashkanani in comparison is hoping to score his first points of the season this weekend at Sochi Autodrom to further demonstrate the 21-year-old’s developing pace and ability in the championship.
The Russian round gets underway with Free Practice on Friday at 5pm (local time), with Qualifying being the next time the cars take to track, on Saturday morning at 9:30am. Race 1 takes place that afternoon at 1:30pm, while the last of the track action will come on Sunday at 10am.
