Fielding rejoins HHC Motorsport to Enter Autumn Trophy

Having spent a year away from the category, Sennan Fielding will return to BRDC Formula 4 to compete in the upcoming Autumn Trophy. The British driver finished fourth when he last competed in 2014.

Having been signed to HHC Motorsport, the defending main series champions, he is likely to arrive at Snetterton as the pre-season favourite. This isn’t an unusual position for the 19 year old though, having already gone through this once this year.

Having performed so well in BRDC F4, Fielding was one of the favourites for this years MSA Formula title, as he switched categories. However; an unfulfilled year saw him collect only three victories and finished the year in fourth place.

With the new Tatuus-Cosworth cars being introduced to the BRDC F4 series this year, it’s likely that Fielding will enter the Autumn Trophy in preparation to a full season next year, where (depending on results in this years Trophy,) he could once again be favourite for the title.

Fielding said: “I’m really looking forward to being back in the BRDC Formula 4 Championship, especially with the new car which has shown great pace in testing. I’m sure, as always in the championship, that the racing will be brilliant and hopefully myself and HHC Motorsport can be fighting right at the very front and challenging for the Autumn Trophy title.”

Charlie Kemp, Team Principal of HHC Motorsport, commented: “We are absolutely delighted with Sennan returning to the team for the Duo BRDC Formula 4 Autumn Trophy. It is a testament to the new-for-2016 car that drivers are returning to the championship to sample it and we are sure Sennan will do a great job.”

The Trophy will start at Snetterton on November 7/8, with another round at Brands Hatch a few weeks later. Al Faisal Al Zubair and Sisa Ngebulana have also been confirmed in recent days.
