James Pull to return to MSA Formula with Champions Carlin

James Pull - JTR

Having competed in 2015, sixteen year old James Pull will return for a second season in MSA Formula as he signs for Carlin, last seasons champions. Having finished 2015 in tenth place with four podiums, Pull will be an early contender for the title.

While competing for JTR at the start of last season, he became an early challenger despite his lack of experience. His run of top tens in the first two rounds meant Pull left Donington second in the points standings, however a poor weekend in Thruxton saw the young Singaporean born driver fall back.

For the second half of 2015, the Hertfordshire based driver moved to Fortec, where he managed to finished sixth in the final race of the year, securing tenth overall.

“This season was all about gaining experience in the Championship. Now, I know the tracks, I know the Championship and I hope I can push on and be challenging for the title.” said Pull

After testing with Carlin in the past month, the racer is now looking forward to seeing what he can do with his new team next season. He added: “I tested with Carlin for a few days and really enjoyed it. They are really professional and I know I will learn a lot with them. “I’m really happy to be having another season in the Championship. It’s a great series.”

Speaking about the team’s newest signing, Trevor Carlin said: “We’re very pleased that James has joined the team. We could see last year that he had a good turn of speed and lots of potential. We expect to see James as a championship contender in 2016. He has been very quick and very professional in the small amount of testing we’ve done with him already.”

Pull becomes the first driver to be announced for next season with the calendar staying the same for the second season.
