Prime Factors Racing will compete in the 2016 MCE British Superbike Championship with former BSB star Steve Plater as their team manager.

The team, formed in 2014, will also compete in the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 class with their BMW Motorrad supported S1000RR machinery.

2009 British Supersport Champion, Plater said: “This is a very exciting opportunity for everyone at Prime Factors Racing. BSB is undoubtedly the most relevant series in motorcycle sport, and with 2016 being its 20th anniversary it was a perfect opportunity to make our debut.

“We’re confident that with the calibre of riders we have, coupled with the support from BMW, we won’t be there to make up the numbers and our goal is to mix it up with the more established teams.”

The team was formed by Jean-David Zorbibe and found instant success when they were crowned National Endurance Champions in 2014.

They moved into the FIM World Endurance Championship last year, which included the team’s debut in the Le Mans 24 hour race where they would finish 20th overall and 10th in their class.

The team will be bringing their customer focused business – Prime Factors Motorcycles – to each race on the calendar to showcase their services.

The team’s rider line-up for the new season will be announced in the next few weeks as the new season gets ever closer.
