Bilko open to further GRC outings

1 Mins read

Freestyle Motorcross star Blake ‘Bilko’ Williams has said that he would be open to further Red Bull Global Rallycross outings in 2016 after making his début in GRC Lites last season.

Speaking at a Nitro Circus Live performance in Manchester, England, ‘Bilko’ was positive when asked about the possibility of further GRC outings, although he admitted financial constraints may prevent him from taking part in more GRC events.

“I’d love to,” said the X Games gold meddalist,  “but it’s bloody expensive!”

The Australian, the first to compete in a GRC Lites race, took part in his first four-wheeled event in Barbados last year for Rhys Millen Racing, finishing in seventh place after battling for the podium spots early on. He also finished in ninth at the second Barbados race, before finishing the Las Vegas season finale in seventh place again.

‘Bilko’ was the fourth driver in the 2015 Red Bull Global Rallycross season to successfully make the switch from two to four wheels after Travis Pastrana, Brian Deegan, and Jeff Ward, who have all taken top five finishes in the Supercars category.
