Senna Proctor will return to the Team BMR fold this season and run with Team Pyro for his maiden campaign in the Renault UK Clio Cup.
Proctor was initially announced to be running with JHR Developments this season, the team that guided him to second in the Ginetta Junior Championship last year.
The 17 year old has made the switch to Pyro though as he retains his backing from top BTCC outfit BMR, who also supported him last season as he took four Ginetta race wins.
“I was very honoured to drive for BMR last year in my second season in Ginetta Juniors,” said Proctor.
“For them to extend their deal with me is fantastic news and a huge boost to my career as they guide me towards the BTCC. It is an honour to race for such an incredible team and I’m looking forward to working with championship winning Team Pyro‘’
The move sees Proctor follow in the footsteps of Ashley Sutton, who won the Clio Cup title at the first attempt last season under the Team BMR with Pyro banner.
Proctor is the first driver that BMR have announced they will support in the support paddock this season, alongside their four-car manufacturer Subaru effort in the BTCC.
“I am delighted that Senna is with us again this year and I’m really looking forward to another exciting season of the Renault UK Clio Cup,” commented BMR boss Warren Scott.
“The team at Pyro did an outstanding job looking after Ashley in the Clio last year so I’m confident that between us we are capable of growing another champion in 2016.”
Proctor is Pyro’s fourth confirmed driver for 2016, joining 2014 Clio champion Mike Bushell, series returnee David Dickenson and reigning Masters Cup victor Mark Howard.
