After joining the team for the final two meetings of 2015, Tom Butler will contest the Renault UK Clio Cup this season with 20Ten Racing.
Butler only made his car-racing debut in 2013, but enjoyed a superb maiden season as he finished second overall in the MG Trophy.
The 21 year old moved into the Michelin Clio Cup Series for 2014, taking a pair of top six results and a top ten championship finish with 20Ten.
Butler was set for a full season in the Clio Cup last season with #RacingForHeroes, but was left to wait for his debut when the plans fell through.
When it eventually came in the final two meetings of the season, the Derby-based racer would go on impressively secure a pair of top ten finishes.
Butler now returns for a full campaign this season with backing from his own Storm designer clothing company, with building his experience his main target for the year.
“For pretty much every driver the UK Clio Cup is a two or three-year programme – it is the category right beneath British Touring Cars so the grid is massively competitive and it’d be foolish to think otherwise,” said Butler, who joins Sam Watkins in the 20Ten ranks.
“On saying that I was pleased with the way I took to it towards the end of last season with 20Ten and to come away from the final round at Brands Hatch with a seventh place result was better than I’d anticipated.
“I like the way 20Ten operate and being based close to one another is of course a bonus. I see this as the start of a longer-term campaign with them and the target this year is regular top ten finishes and to be pushing for top fives by the end of the season.”
