The JG Speedfit Kawasaki team have unveiled Monster Energy as a brand-new sponsor ahead of the new MCE British Superbike season.

The green and black Monster Energy claw logo has become synonymous in motor sport around the world, especially on two wheels.

The logo fits perfectly with the green and black livery on the 2016 JG Speedfit Kawasaki machine which will be rode by James Ellison, Peter Hickman and Leon Haslam this season.

John Beasley, VP of Marketing, EMEA from Monster Energy said: “We’re very pleased to be partnering with the JG Speedfit Kawasaki team for the 2016 MCE British Superbike Championship. All three riders have the potential to make the Showdown and we look forward to seeing their success over the year.”

The addition of the Monster Energy brand also further links the BSB team with the World Superbike Kawasaki squad, who are also supported by the famous energy drink brand.

The logo can be find on the front wheel guard and along the front of the machine – either side of the riders respective numbers.

Team principal Mark Smith-Halvorsen said: “We’re incredibly proud to have Monster Energy come on board and support our campaign to win the 2016 MCE British Superbike Championship.

“The green and black claw adorns machines across all forms of motor sport and we look forward to representing them on our machines in the best way possible…by running at the front!”

In the final couple of weeks leading up to the season opener there will be two official BSB tests for the team to complete their final preparations.

The first takes place at Silverstone, where the season will get underway, on Tuesday and the second takes place at Donington Park on Thursday.

The season itself begins on Friday, April 8 with the first practice sessions of the year.
