Jody Fannin will be having a busy 2016 as he has been confirmed behind the wheel of an Aston Martin GT4 in the Dunlop Endurance Championship.
Fannin will be sharing the car with champion quad-biker Chris Murphy, who is fulfilling a long-held ambition to go car racing since he did some autotesting almost forty years ago and is launching his circuit racing career in some style.
Murphy said: “I have completed numerous trackdays with Zak Mercer and hired a Renault Clio from Mark Fish Motorsport for general tests and to learn the circuits. I am not setting any real targets for my first season, apart from not finishing last!”
For 22-year-old Fannin, this campaign in the Dunlop Endurance Championship will be intertwined with a British GT Championship battle where he is joining Pete Littler and PFL Motorsport behind the wheel of an Aston Martin V12 Vantage,
It also shows how high a regard the half-South African racer is held after a number of seasons competing at the highest level in International GT Open and the Blancpain GT Series.
Now, Fannin will be doing the business in the Dunlop Endurance Championship which is starting at Silverstone on March 26.
