Power Maxed Racing Enter Ginetta Challenge With Fletcher

1 Mins read

BTCC outfit Power Maxed Racing are entering the Ginetta GT5 Challenge this season with teenage actor-turned-racer Brayden Fletcher.

The 19 year old makes the move into Ginetta competition after a successful season in the Mighty Mini’s in 2015, having taken four wins, twelve podiums and a top four points finish.

The Oldham racer is the young brother of Emmerdale star Kelvin Fletcher, who this week was announced to be racing in the BTCC this season with the Power Maxed squad.

As well as following his brother onto the race track, Brayden has also joined him in the acting world, having recently got a role on Coronation Street.

“Ginetta have a well-publicised history of producing top drivers, and for an aspiring racing driver like myself, the Ginetta GT5 Challenge is the perfect platform for me,” said Fletcher, who has backing from the University of Bolton.

“Not only that, but it’s a big championship with large, competitive grids and to be a support race to both the British GT and the BTCC as part of it was too good an opportunity to miss for an aspiring TV personality such as myself…”
