Winter Series Star King Signs With Elite Motorsport For 2016 Juniors

1 Mins read

2015 Ginetta Junior Winter Series Rookie Cup champion Harry King has signed with Elite Motorsport for his full season debut in the Ginetta Junior Championship.

The 15 year old finished second overall in the Whilton Mill Kart Club Mini Max series last season, before making his Ginetta bow in the annual Scholarship contest at Bedford Autodrome.

A successful week saw King finished third overall in the Scholarship, and he went on to carry the momentum from that into his car-racing debut in the Ginetta Junior Winter Series.

The Holyport-based racer led the Rookie class across the Snetterton weekend, taking both class pole positions on offer as well as three rookie wins in the four races.

King is Elite Motorsport’s first signing for 2016, their second campaign in the championship after running Geri Nicosia to fifteenth overall last season.

“I’m really excited for the 2016 season with Elite Motorsport,” said King.

Last year was great for me as I was a runner up in the Ginetta Junior Scholarship as well as the top rookie at the Winter Series, so I am hopeful that positive streak will continue with me as I embark on my first full season with Ginetta.”

King’s addition to the Ginetta Junior grid means the Scholarship top three will all be in action this season, with King set to renew battle with winner Daniel Harper and runner-up Seb Priaulx.
