Leading Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship squad Team BMR are expanding their backing to three drivers in the 2016 Renault UK Clio Cup.
Series newcomer Senna Proctor was previously announced to be receiving support from them this season, having also enjoyed their backing in Ginetta Juniors this season.
Joining him this year will be 2014 champion Mike Bushell, who is returning to the Clios after a season in the BTCC, and rising star Josh Price.
All three drivers will run with Team BMR and RCIB Insurance logos on their cars, and benefit from links to the team’s BTCC operations.
The team supported Ashley Sutton in the Clio Cup last season as he went on to become the first Rookie champion in over a decade.
As Sutton makes his BTCC debut this weekend at Brands Hatch with Triple Eight MG, Team BMR will be racing their quartet of Subaru Levorg’s for the first time.
“It’s great to be approached by Warren and Team BMR,” said Bushell. “With an opportunity like this, I’m hungrier than ever to win and reward their faith in me and achieve some great results for Team BMR.” Price added “It’s a real honour to be a part of their junior programme and hopefully this is a stepping stone towards my goal of competing in the BTCC.
“To be representing RCIB Insurance Racing is also a huge boost for me as they have a huge presence in the UK motorsport scene these days.”
