Ant Whorton-Eales has been stripped of his victory in the second Renault UK Clio Cup race at Donington Park, with Paul Rivett inheriting the win to extend his championship lead.
A technical infringement with his JamSport Racing Clio has led to Whorton-Eales’ exclusion for race two, with the team subsequently appealing the decision.
The 21 year old has already been stripped of a double pole position at the Brands Hatch season opener due to a technical irregularity.
The loss of his race win points mean Whorton-Eales falls from second to tied sixth in the standings, with Rivett now holding a thirteen point advantage over Paul Streather.
Streather is promoted to third in the updated results for his second Clio Cup podium, while it gives WDE Motorsport a one-two result with Rivett and Charlie Ladell.
