Foust completes qualifying sweep in Phoenix

1 Mins read

Tanner Foust made it two poles from two as he took top spot in qualifying for Phoenix II, the second round of the 2016 Red Bull Global Rallycross season.

The Phoenix I race winner‘s time of 48.255 was enough to beat Volkswagen Andretti Rallycross team mate Scott Speed to top spot. Second place for Speed marks a big difference to qualifying yesterday where he failed to set a meaningful time.

Patrik Sandell continued his speedy showing in Phoenix, beating Brian Deegan to third with Team Honda Red Bull OMSE‘s Sebastian Erkisson rounding out the top five.

Steve Arpin was sixth, Joni Wiman in the other Honda seventh, while Rhys Millen and Austin Dyne completed the top ten. Sebastian Saavedra and Jeff Ward completed the field.

In GRC Lites Alex Keyes claimed pole position ahead of Cabot Bigham and Christian Brooks.
