Hanson and Moore top Dunlop Endurance Championship practice

Phil Hanson and Nigel Moore set the fastest lap in practice at round 4 of the Dunlop Endurance Championship at Croft Circuit.

Hanson and Moore set a blistering time of a 1:21.528 in the Audi R8 LMS for Tockwith Motorsport, they finished over seven seconds clear of the field.

ING sport drivers Ian Lawson and Kevin Clarke finished second with a 1:29.024 in the BMW Z4 GT3.

Manuel Cintrano and Javier Morcillo competing for Neill Garner Motorsport in the Mosler MT900 rounded out the top three in practice a tenth off the pace of Lawson and Clarke.

Class 3 drivers Jacob Mathiassen and Steve Fresle driving the Ginetta G55 GT4 for Century Motorsport set the fourth fastest time and fastest of the class 3 teams.

Moss Motorsport driver Mike Moss set a superb time of a 1:31.406 just ahead of the chasing pack of Fothergill/Daws 1:31.442, James/Wheeler 1:34.425, Mason/Locke 1:34.443 and Murphy/Cocker 1:37.153 rounding out practice with the all and important qualifying coming up soon later in the day.

The Dunlop Endurance race will be later on where the crucial points are awarded but practice gives the team valuable data ahead of an intense qualifying that will be important around a challenging track like Croft.
