Plant Back In Clio Cup Action At Snetterton

1 Mins read

Paul Plant and the Vanquish Motorsport squad are returning to the Renault UK Clio Cup grid at Snetterton next weekend after two meetings away.

Both team and drivers are embarking on their first season in the series, with the opening six races of the year producing a best finish of tenth in the Brands Hatch season opener.

The standout moment for the 32 year old came at Thruxton however when he qualified fourth fastest – though it was his only top ten qualifying result of the campaign.

“When I come back at Snetterton, I want a good, solid, hassle-free, reliable weekend instead of it being just snippets of what I can do,” Plant told Renaultsport.

“I’ve been aiming for top tens every time and if I can do that after two meetings away then I’d be happy.

“The championship is amazingly competitive, and people who have followed me are astonished that you can be just four tenths off pole and still be outside the top twelve.”
