Tregurtha Secures Clear Junior Pole At Rockingham

1 Mins read

Will Tregurtha has secured his third Ginetta Junior Championship pole position in five sessions with a commanding performance in qualifying at Rockingham.

It was a HHC Motorsport one-two at the top of the standings, with championship leader Tregurtha heading Lewis Brown by a huge six and a half tenths of a second.

One of the performances of the session came from Harry King, who emerged as the fastest Rookie in third overall in his Elite Motorsport-prepared G40.

Tregurtha’s chief title contender Stuart Middleton had to settle for fourth ahead of JHR Developments’ Seb Priaulx, the final driver within a second of the poleman.

Rookie class leader Dan Harper was seventh overall behind Seb Perez, with the top ten rounded out by Charlie Fagg, series returnee Max Bird and Connor Grady.

Qualifying outside the top ten for the first time this season was Dave Wooder in eleventh ahead of Kyle Hornby and Knockhill race-winner Geri Nicosia.

Jenson Dineen and Connor O’Brien completed the grid meanwhile in eighteenth and nineteenth respectively in their debut qualifying sessions.

Full qualifying results can be found here.
