Tanner Foust is looking forward to returning to the Pacific North West this weekend for Red Bull Global Rallycross‘s visit to Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, Washington.

The event will mark Red Bull GRC’s first visit to the only NASCAR sanctioned track in Washington state, having previously held ‘Seattle’-billed events at DirtFish rally school.

However, it will be Foust’s second trip to the track this year alone, having competed in a Formula Drift event at the track approximately 40 miles North east of Seattle, earlier in the year.

“Every competition season of my career has taken me to Washington State and whether I’m competing in rally, rallycross or drifting, the fans there are incredible,” said Foust. “They’re always enthusiastic and that kind of energy is contagious.”
The two-time champion lost the championship lead for the first time at the previous event in Atlantic City and now sits nine points adrift of team mate Scott Speed with just three rounds remaining.
Last weekend he was again competing in Formula Drift in his 800 horsepower V8-powered Volkswagen Passat. The round in Dallas was the last in a three round part-time Formula Drift schedule for the former double Formula Drift champion.
