Pinder Swaps Clio Series For Ginetta Challenge

1 Mins read

2015 Michelin Clio Cup Series Road Class champion Luke Pinder will mount a privateer entry into the Ginetta GT5 Challenge this season, with support from Jade Developments.

The 33 year old makes the transition following an impressive three year spell in the Clio Series, having stepped up to the headline Race class last season.

After taking a couple of Road class wins in his maiden campaign in 2014, Pinder dominated the category a year later with nine victories on his way to the title.

The Yorkshireman would showcase impressive consistency in his Race class bow last year, with six podium finishes securing him a top four points finish.

Pinder, who is also a former national rally champion, will now make his Ginetta racing bow in the British GT supporting Challenge.

“I’m really excited to be making the switch to Ginetta’s,” said Pinder.

“They have been a manufacturer whose championships I’ve watched for years and always wanted to be a part of, so this is going to be a really exciting year for me. Hopefully my rally style of driving will bring a smile to the spectator faces too!”
