Freestyle motocross legend Jeremy ‘Twitch’ Stenberg is set for a switch to Red Bull Global Rallycross Lites in 2016.
The double X Games gold medallist has competed the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series since 2010 – the year he won the Super Lite title. He has also raced in Speed Energy Formula Off-Road, also known as Stadium Supertrucks.
However, the Red Bull X Fighters and world FMX champion recently revealed that he would be leaving short course off-road racing in a post to his Instagram page.
“Peace out short course it’s been fun,” read the message, accompanied by a ‘peace sign’ emoji.
Further social media posts suggest that the Californian will move to Red Bull GRC Lites this year.
Stenberg has already posted a picture of him sat behind the wheel of a Lites car, although no formal announcement has been made yet regarding Stenberg’s proposed move into rallycross.
