2017 Euro RX of Spain Entry List Announced

The entry list for the first round of the 2017 FIA European Rallycross Championship, the Euro RX of Spain, has been announced. The event will see the Supercar and TouringCar Classes in action.

With 29 permanent entries announced for the 2017 FIA European Rallycross Championship for Supercars, there will in fact be 32 drivers fighting it out to take the first win of the year. The entry list already announced can be found here.

Joining the Supercar field will be Henning Solberg, who returns to Euro RX after a year out of the sport. The popular Norwegian driver will be at the wheel of one of the iconic Eklund Motorsport Volkswagen Beetle Supercars for this event. Last year there were two VW Beetles in action in Euro RX in the hands of Alexander Hvaal and Joni Pekka-Rajala.

2016 French Rallycross Champion Firmin Cadeddu will race his Citroen C4 Supercar in the event as he look to expand his rallycross programme whilst two time French RX race winner Philippe Maloigne will take part at the wheel of a third Albatec Racing Peugeot 208 WRX. Maloigne has already confirmed that he will take part in a second full season of French RX.

The 2017 FIA European Rallycross Championship for TouringCars also gets underway in Barcelona where there will be an added entry to the ten permanent season entries already confirmed as Petter Brauten takes part in his Opel Corsa.

The first round of both the 2017 FIA European Rallycross Championship for Supercars and The 2017 FIA European Rallycross Championship for TouringCars takes place at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on April 1-2.
