Harper Targets Ginetta Junior Title With Douglas Motorsport

1 Mins read

Reigning Ginetta Junior Championship Rookie Cup champion Daniel Harper will return to the series this season for an outright title challenge with Douglas Motorsport.

Harper starred last year as the 2016 Ginetta Junior Scholarship winner, storming to outright race victories at Donington Park and Snetterton.

Alongside four other overall top three finishes, Harper also visited the Rookie rostrum on fifteen occasions on his way to the class title.

Harper’s addition makes it a three-car entry this season from Douglas, joining his Winter Series team-mate Connor Grady and Rookie talent Tom Canning.

“After a very long and anxious wait over the winter, I couldn’t be happier to be back on the grid in 2017,” said Harper.

“Although I’ve missed out on some vital pre-season testing, I truly believe myself and Douglas Motorsport can really challenge for the title this season.

“Coming back with Douglas gives me confidence straight away, as I know the team and I know I will always have the best possible car underneath me.

“I really cannot wait to get the racing started again. Brands Hatch can’t come quick enough!”
