Burt Jenner will make his Red Bull Global Rallycross Lites début in Memphis this weekend after a last-minute call up to race for AF Racing.

The 38-year-old has previous experience in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo and Stadium Super Trucks, and was also a winner of the Ford-backed Octane Academy in 2013.

Jenner will drive the #5 Lites entry, with backing from United Fiber & Data and rock band LIVE who are gearing up for their 25th anniversary.

“The Red Bull GRC series is incredible racing and we can’t wait to see Burt Jenner make his début,” LIVE guitarist Chad Taylor said. “He’s a highly competitive and talented driver, and we’re lucky to have him represent the band LIVE as we prepare to celebrate the 25th anniversary of our début album, Mental Jewelry. We’ll be on tour all summer long but tuning in to NBC to watch Burt go for victory!”

Alejandro Fernandez will join Jenner in lining up for AF Racing this weekend.

“I’m excited to get back behind the wheel this weekend in Memphis,” he said. “Having Burt Jenner join me this weekend is especially awesome for us at AF Racing, as he brings a winning track record to the program. I’m looking forward to working with him, as well as showing the rest of the field that we have what it takes to win!”

It will be Fernandez’s fourth season racing for his family team, although it is currently unknown whether he will be competing in further events throughout the year.
