The Volkswagen Andretti Rallycross Beetle Red Bull Global Rallycross car will be added to iRacing later this year.
Along with the M-Sport Ford Fiesta campaigned by Loenbro Motorsports, Bryan Herta Rallysport, and Rahal Letterman Lannigan, the Beetle will be made available as a free download for the popular racing simulator in the autumn.
“I’m currently working on it myself personally to make sure that it is as accurate as possible,” Said VARX driver Scott Speed, a known iRacing enthusiast. “With the addition of dirt, and now this mean car, it is going to be so fun. Personally I can’t wait to get out there and race you guys on it.”
It won’t be the first time that the Red Bull GRC Beetle will appear on a video game. In 2015 the car was added to Forza Horizon 2 as a downloadable extra.
The Olsbergs Honda Civic is also set to feature on a video game later this year. The car, in its 2016 guise, will be available on Project CARS 2 along with a version of the Daytona rallycross course used by Red Bull GRC between 2014-2016.
