It’s that time again…the selection process for the 2018 Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup is about to begin for budding motorcycle racers from Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

The Selection Event takes place on the 24-25 October at the Sepang International Circuit, and the organisers are welcoming all forms of applicants who meet the criteria.

The Talent Cup is the ideal championship for riders who one day wish to compete in MotoGP to showcase their talent on a level field, with each participant riding a Honda NSF250R. We have seen some incredible racing from the championship so far in its four seasons of running, and it is only set to get better.

Alberto Puig plays a key role in the selection process. Puig is one of the biggest names in motorcycle management and has uncovered stars such as Dani Pedrosa, Casey Stoner and Toni Elias. He’s also responsible for the Asia Talent Team, who race in the Moto3 World Championship.

Three riders from the Asia Talent Cup have graduated to Moto3, showing it is entirely possible. Kaito Toba, Nakarin Atiratphuvapat and Ayumu Sasaki are all competing in this year’s Moto3 championship.

The closing date for entries is August 13 2017 and applications are now open through the official website: www.asiatalentcup.com. For more information, head to their website.
