JG Speedfit Kawasaki rider Luke Mossey has been ruled out of the Cadwell Park British Superbike round this weekend, due to injuries sustained during a free practice session at Thruxton.

He sustained a fractured vertebra and has been undergoing intensive treatment to try and be fit to race at this weekend’s round. However, his medical team have advised against racing at the iconic British track, which is one of the more physical circuits on the calendar.

Although Mossey is understandably upset at not being able to race at round eight – especially as the Championship heads into one of the most crucial stages, he will be racing at Silverstone in four weeks time. He is optimistic that even by missing a round, he’ll be able to gain a place in the Showdown and head into the fight for the Championship.
