Scott Speed excels again to take second pole of Atlantic City weekend

Scott Speed carried on his stellar record in Atlantic City this weekend by claiming pole for the second part of the double header at Bader Field.

The reigning double champion, set to compete in his 50th main event this weekend set a lap time of 51.231 seconds to beat championship rival Steve Arpin to the top spot.

Tanner Foust was third fastest, almost six-tenths of a second down on Speed, ahead of Chris Atkinson and Oliver Eriksson, who completed the top five and led his Honda team mates Sebastian Eriksson and Mitchell deJong.

Cabot Bigham was eighth fastest, ahead of Patrik Sandell with Austin Dyne completing the top ten.

In Red Bull GRC Lites, Alejandro Fernandes claimed pole position for the first time in almost two years, heading Travis PeCoy and championship leader Cyril Raymond.
