BT Sport will continue to provide exclusively live coverage of MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3 in the United Kingdom until the end of the 2021 season after signing a three-year extension to their contract with Dorna.
The existing deal was due to expire at the end of the upcoming campaign but today’s news ensures that every on-track session from all classes will be broadcast live on BT for the next four years.
BT Sport will also profile the young riders taking part in the upcoming British Talent Cup and Andy Haworth, BT managing director of content and strategy, has welcomed today’s announcement.
“We are absolutely thrilled to continue as the home of MotoGP in the UK and Ireland.
“Over the past four seasons we have given MotoGP fans the very best race coverage ever seen on TV in the UK.
“We have a fantastic team working on MotoGP, Suzi Perry, Craig Doyle, Colin Edwards, Neil Hodgson, James Toseland, Keith Huewen, Gavin Emmett and a big welcome to Michael Laverty who will be joining the BT Sport team.
“The team will bring every single minute of the action from this fantastic sport to our viewers for another four seasons.”
Manel Arroyo, Managing Director at Dorna Sports, is also delighted to see their partnership with BT Sport continue and is especially excited to see the broadcaster aid in the development of the British Talent Cup.
