Despite not having raced at Snetterton for four years, Brett Lidsey is looking forward to racing at the circuit in the Renault UK Clio Cup following a five week Summer break.

Last time out, the MRM Racing driver scored a top ten result in the second race of the weekend at Croft following an entertaining race where he battled with multiple rivals. Another strong set of finishes is the goal this weekend for the team.

This four year gap between racing at Snetterton might be a hindrance in comparison to his Clio Cup rivals. However, getting up to speed shouldn’t be too much of an issue and with confidence in his ability. Brett is setting sights on more top ten finishes.

Nobody can afford to stand still in this competitive one-make series and a lack of track experience in a certain iteration of Clio Cup car shouldn’t be an issue for a top driver. Brett will be hoping to not struggle and with a good set-up, carry on Clio.

“I’m really looking forward to being back racing at Snetterton,” Said the MRM Racing driver,

“it’s been a long time since we were there in the Clio Cup Series and so there’s a bit of catching up to do compared to the other guys.

“It’s not exactly been a straightforward season so far, and we have been caught-up in incidents not of our making, but I’m pleased with the pace we’ve shown.

“I’ll be disappointed if we’re not battling in the top 10 again at Snetterton – that has to be the minimum target.”
