Viessmann Jaguar I-Pace eTrophy Team Germany are set to join the 2018-19 Jaguar I-Pace eTrophy grid.
The squad will have a single car entry in the one-make championship with Nurburgring Nordschleife specialist Ceila Martin piloting the car for the upcoming campaign.
The series will kick off in Ad Diriyah, Riyadh in Saudi Arabia on 15 December, acting as a support series for the ABB FIA Formula E Championship.
Martin has previously worked for Jaguar as a test driver for the Jaguar XE SV project 8 at the Nurburgring Nordschleife.
The team will be led by Christian Danner, ex-Formula 1 driver and head of the Jaguar Driving Academy, while TV presenter Andrea Kaiser will be Martin’s personal coach for the upcoming season.
Ahead of the inaugural campaign, Danner was full of optimism, telling motorsport.com: “I am an ambitious man and want to prove that I can compete with the best as a newcomer. I-PACE eTROPHY is a brand new series that is being sorted out for the first time. This is even more encouraging to do well.”
Martin attended both tests at Silverstone and Rockingham Motor Speedway, and will be ready for the start of the season.
She is ambitious about her desires for the upcoming season, which will begin in Riyadh on 15 December and will transcend the globe until next until July, concluding the championship in New York City.
