Porsche Carrera Cup GB team In2Racing will expand their presence in the British Touring Car Championship support paddock with a Ginetta Junior squad in 2019.

The race winning team has confirmed kart star Zak Taylor as its first Ginetta driver for the upcoming season, with the package open for more drivers looking to get on the car racing ladder.

“The Junior Championship is a proven training ground for young aspiring drivers to showcase their talents at a high-profile level,” said team principal Nick Dudfield.

“With drivers of the calibre of Lando Norris learning their trade in the series and McLaren Young Driver [award winner] Tom Gamble a race winner in 2017 we firmly believe that the championship offers our drivers a great stepping stone up the motorsport ladder.

“Our drivers will benefit from our professional simulator and driver coaches, whilst an end of season test with the In2 Racing Porsche Carrera Cup team will be an amazing opportunity as part of our 2019 package.”

In2Racing has run drivers in various championship for more than 20 years. As well as the Carrera Cup, the team has run drivers in the Porsche Supercup, Historic Racing, and the GT Cup.

The team also competed in the 2017 British GT championship, where it claimed a class victory with Marcus Hoggarth and Mathew Graham, and is expected to return to the championship in 2018, alongside their Ginetta Junior and Carrera Cup GB commitments.

IN2Racing will run Taylor for its first season in the Ginetta Junior championship.

Taylor has already completed a number of test days in the Ginetta car, alongside his karting commitments, where he finished sixth in class in the Super One British Karting Championship.
