Making his debut in the Ginetta Junior Winter Series back in November Casper Stevenson produced an impressive display with a pair of rookie class podium finishes.

For the 2019 Ginetta Junior Championship Stevenson has already started testing with the Richardson Racing team.

Testing has resulted in positive runs at Donington Park and Brands Hatch filling the youngster with confidence ahead of the season opener in April.

“I’m really looking forward to racing in the Michelin Ginetta Junior Championship this season, and I am pleased to have signed a deal with the Richardson Racing team.” said Stevenson.

“Throughout last season they were ultra-competitive on track; that was shown with a multitude of wins and podiums throughout the year. I can’t wait to get the season underway, and I hope that we can emulate the success the team had last year over the course of 2019.”

Gwyn Richardson, team principal added, “I’m so pleased to have Casper on board. He impressed us from the moment he first started working in our simulator. He showed remarkable passion and dedication to analysis of data and on-board footage.

“That has translated into tremendous performance in testing and he’ll definitely strengthen an already strong line-up of drivers.

“I’m looking forward to seeing his pace continue into the season, where I’m sure his professionalism will translate into good results.”

Having competed in the Super One Junior X30 karting series last year, the Ginetta Junior Championship will be a step up for Stevenson, and will be one to watch in the series as he learns the ropes.
