24-year-old Swedish talent Simon Olofsson is back for another full year in the Supercar Lites in the RallyX Nordic series together with his team STS RX starting at Höljes on 23-24 May.
Olofsson who is a front-runner and regular driver in both RX2 International Series and RallyX Nordic is looking forward to being back in the car this season.
He became the 2016 Swedish Supercar Lites champion as well as the RallyX Nordic runner-up that year, last season he impressed all with his great performance when he took a pair of second-place finishes at Höljes and Kouvola; He also made the final at three other rounds.
He is now aiming to bring home more silverware and taste the champagne on the podium, but he knows it won’t be easy as the Supercar Lites grid is growing rapidly, this season could be the toughest ever for Olofsson.
“I’m really looking forward to the new season of RallyX Nordic, we had some great racing last year, so I’m sure 2020 will be no different,” Olofsson said.
“The team and I had a good pace all season in 2019. We had some good races and some bad races. Obviously the two podiums were amazing, so we’re aiming for more of the same and to build upon the experience we gained last year.
“The calendar is looking great this season, and the Supercar Lites class is always super-competitive. I’m expecting it to be even more so this year so we’ll need to be fast, but of course, we always want to have fun as well!”
