18-year-old Tobias Daarbak from Denmark will step-up to the Supercar class in the FIA European Rallycross Championship in a Ford Fiesta this season.
He bought the car from the former Belgian Supercar driver Michaël De Keersmaecker, the same car that ‘M.D.K’ drove in Euro RX in 2018. Daarbak made his Euro RX in 2018 when he drove in the rear-wheel-drive TouringCar class in a similar Ford Fiesta.
Before he made his rallycross debut in 2018 he was active in Crosskart in Denmark and drove home a total of seven titles in the class; now he will compete with a four-wheel-drive Supercar for the first time at Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium.
Daarbak has already tested the new car and received new updates before the season starts in the spring.

“I feel very lucky and honored to get this opportunity to compete in Euro RX Supercar. I´m extremely grateful to those who have helped me here and believe in me. For me it´s a dream come true. I´m very excited for all the events this season,” Daarbak said.
“In 2018 I drove at Höljes and Hell and both tracks were amazing. The three other circuits are all new for me so they will be a major challenge that I look forward to. I´m probably quite an underdog but my ambitions are high and I look forward to learn and grab my chances. 2020 will be an exciting learning year with a very hard field of many good competitors and cars.”
“I hope my Supercar and I will become friends very quickly. I have done a little test and the car seems very good, and fast too. Right now we are working on some updates for the car. The performance is then up to me and I hope I can keep up with my competitors. To represent Denmark in Euro RX in the top class Supercar is amazing. I hope I can do well for the Danish colours and Danish fans.” Daarbak added.
