Nathalie Petersson, the Swedish 23-year-old rallycross driver will make her Supercar Lites return at All-Star ‘Magic Weekend‘ at Höljes on 2-5 July with an ‘all-girl’ team.

Petersson has been active in the Swedish Rallycross Championship, driving an Audi, before she made her switch over to Supercar Lites for the 2019 season-opener of RallyX Nordic at Höljes. Her first experience of racing in the car didn’t start well as she barrel-rolled over the famous turn one. The team worked hard to fix the car for round two overnight but despite their best efforts, she didn’t do well as the car was damaged.

The crash caused problems for Pettersson but after being off for almost a year, she’s now ready to get back in the Supercar Lites machinery with her own team; “Finally, I’m back and more ready than ever! I love this sport, so it feels great to be back on the grid, especially with my own ‘girl power’ team this year. It will be epic!” Petersson said.

Petersson explains, her ‘girl power’ team will consists of the FIA World Touring Car Championship and Swedish Touring Car Championship mechanic Lisa Jonasson and her best friend, the Swedish female Folkrace driver Sandra Nyström.

“Last season was tough, but with all my sponsors we are fighting back in 2020, and here we are today! We decided to set up our own team, and alongside me I have WTCC and STCC mechanic Lisa Jonasson and Sandra Nyström, a folkrace driver and my best friend. Together, we will do everything possible to find a great set-up, the right focus and of course do our best to get onto the podium at least once over the weekend.”
