Carlin have confirmed Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak will complete their line-up for the 2021 F4 British Championship certified by FIA – powered by Ford EcoBoost season.
Completing Carlin’s four car field for the upcoming 2021 season, ‘Tern’ as he’s affectionately known to his new team mates of Roman Bilinski, Dougie Bolger and Kai Askey – will be joining the squad off the back of claiming a fifth place championship finish in the recent F4 UAE Championship, scoring three podiums along the way.
As well as extensively testing with Carlin over the winter, and setting the fifth fastest time this past week at the championship’s official first test of the year, Inthraphuvasak has also had a successful karting career and competed in many eSports races during the 2020 season.
Inthraphuvasak will now benefit from British F4’s unrivalled platform as he embarks on his next steps on the FIA Single Seater pyramid, including live, free-to-air ITV television coverage and an expected capacity trackside crowd when restrictions allow.
“I’m very excited to be racing with Carlin this year in the F4 British Championship. I know I will learn a lot over the coming season and that I have a great team around me to help push me.
“I really enjoyed starting the season in the F4 UAE Championship and know I already have a lot more experience than I did a few months ago. There will be lots to learn this year for example all of the circuits are new to me, but we will work together to be in the best shape possible for the start of the season. I can’t wait to get racing again.” said Inthraphuvasak.
Trevor Carlin was quick to express his delight at securing the services of Inthraphuvasak and believes his recent F4 experience in the Middle East will pay dividends as the Thai driver looks to get up to speed quickly.
“We’re delighted to welcome Tern to the team. It’s wonderful that once again the F4 British Championship is attracting drivers from outside the UK and outside Europe. It is the perfect environment for young drivers across the world to learn their craft and gain a huge amount of track time on a variety of circuits.
“Tern and his management are pushing to get as much track time as possible and his participation in the F4 UAE Championship will no doubt have helped him develop and improve his race craft. We look forward to working with him over the coming season.” said Carlin.
The new season begins at the high-speed Thruxton circuit in Hampshire on the 8th-9thMay.
