Argenti Motorsport have completed their driver line-up for the 2021 F4 British Championship certified by FIA – powered by Ford EcoBoost with the addition of exciting karting graduate Eduardo Coseteng.

Following a highly successful karting career, Coseteng will make the switch to single seaters in 2021 as well as becoming the first driver from the Philippines to race in the British F4 Championship.

The 17-year old will be following in his father Jody’s footsteps, who was also a multiple time karting a car champion in their homeland. Coseteng burst onto the scene in 2017, claiming a clean sweep of junior titles in the Asian Karting Open Championship followed by race wins in AKOC’s Formula 125 and Senior X30 classes the following year.

2019 would become the hallmark year for the young Filipino star, running competitively in the British, European and World karting scenes, as well as winning the prestigious Macau International Kart Grand Prix.

Coseteng got his initial taste of F4 machinery in recent months as part of a comprehensive test programme with Argenti Motorsport, as well as competing in the second season of the British F4 iRacing Trophy. And with impressive pace in both, the Manila native has been selected as one driver to look out for when the season begins this May.

Joining second season driver Matias Zagazeta and Australian youngster Marcos Flack, Coseteng completes a cosmopolitan lineup for the Argenti team that are starting their second season in British F4 after a successful debut campaign in 2020.

“After some great years in karting, I’m excited to be making the move into single-seater racing for the first time this season. British F4 is a brilliant series and I’m looking forward to joining the grid,

“I’m pleased to be racing with Argenti Motorsport. They’ve been fantastic with me during our initial tests together, and we’re making some good progress. I can’t wait to get the season started in May. Lakas ng pinoy!” said Coseteng.

Team Principal Michael Meadows expressed his delight in bringing Edoardo to the team, and believes the driver and team can mesh well in 2021 and hopefully yielding some strong results.

We’re really pleased to have Eduardo joining Argenti Motorsport this season. He’s got a great karting pedigree and has shown some really impressive pace and progress during his tests with us in recent months.

“We’re delighted with our driver line-up for this season. We’ve got three very quick drivers of different experience levels, and I believe they will work well together. The British F4 grid is looking as competitive as ever for 2021 and we’re excited for the challenge ahead.” said Meadows.

The 2021 F4 British Championship season begins at the high-speed Thruxton in Hampshire over the 08-09 May.
