The battle for the FIA European Rallycross Championship honours will resume in the Ardennes forests at the iconic Spa-Francorchamps on 9/10 October as the Euro RX1 is reaching it’s conclusion and Euro RX3 will be having its penultimate round.

The entries for Euro RX1 sees a great numbers of drivers that are looking to seal the last trophy possible for the season with René Münnich (Lohéac winner), Andrea Dubourg, Fabien Pailler, Jonathan Pailler, Janis Baumanis and Tamas Karai headlining the permanent entries.

Beside the championship regulars, the drivers that have been raced so far and despite not entered as permanent drivers in the series are the Norwegians of Sivert Svardal and Hans-Jøran Østreng.

Anders Michalak will be making his third appearance of the season in the Volkswagen Polo and he will be joined by another team member in the Hedström Motorsport squad, which is yet to be announced.

Missing from the entry list is the current championship leader Andreas Bakkerud, who normally announces his entry days before the start so we could expect him to be at Spa. Jean-Baptiste Dubourg is also missing but he has retired from the season due to an accident in Lohéac and Thomas Bryntesson is also out.

Meanwhile in the Euro RX3 it have been a title fight between the two Volland Racing duos of Yuri Belevskiy and Kobe Pauwels. Pauwels managed deny a win for Belevskiy last time out in Lohéac by winning with a small marging in the final, could he possibly do a back-to-back win on home soil?

Out of the seven Audi A1s entered for Spa, four of them belongs to Volland Racing where the two Russians of Marat Knyazev and Timur Shigabutdinov are in. Entered in private ex-Volland Racing cars are the fast Polish driver Damian Litwinowicz and Hungarian Zsolt SZIJJ Jolly. The only home-built A1 will be Per-Magne Egebø-Svardal returning for his second appearance of the season.

Also headlining the Euro RX3 list are the two Estonian veterans of Janno Ligur and Siim Saluri. Czech driver Jan Cérny with the nimble fan-favourite Škoda Citigo and the teenager Jíri Susta.

Clément Picard is the only Belgian non-permanent driver to enter on home-soil, the young talent impressed a lot on his debut last time out in Lohéac and he is probably keen to do a mark in the championship this time.
