After claiming pole position in a qualifying session that was interrupted by a red flag, Alex Dunne went on to claim victory for Hitech GP.

An early lead was taken by Dunne after Aiden Neate stalled from the front row at the start. The early advantage gave Dunne the battle with Georgi Dimitrov and Joseph Loake, despite Dimitrov later being handed a 10 second time penalty.

Dunne crossed the line 6.6 seconds clear of Loake claiming second and Ugochukwu taking the third spot on the podium.

Dunne commented: “I’m really pleased. The team are doing an incredible job. I’m lost for words, to be honest. It’s going so well.

“I was quite confused when I came out of turn one because I couldn’t see Aiden in my mirrors, so I assumed he stalled. And then I realised that I had a gap. So I just got my head down and tried to put in some good laps to build that gap.”

Gray added that the battle for second was too far away from him due to taking all of the life out of his tyres battling with Ugochukwu.

Gray commented: “After that [battle], I was just managing the tyres. I got close to Joseph at one point then dropped back towards the end. I saw how early Georgi went with the lights still on, so he obviously didn’t get on the podium, it’s unfortunate, but I’m happy with the result.”

Gray claimed fourth, just missing the podium with Shin finishing in the top five for Virtuosi, with Dimitrov taking sixth after the penalty, Pearson claiming seventh for Virtuosi, with Stewart, Lisle and Sharp completing the top ten.
