Williams to feature at 2016 Autosport International Show

1 Mins read

The 2016 Autosport International Show will host a major feature from legendary Formula 1 outfit Williams, including the recreation of its motorhome that visits the majority of race circuits during the season.

The celebration of Frank Williams’ team will include some of the teams cars and famous faces that have attributed to the success of Williams since they debuted in Formula 1 back in 1977.

Williams Advanced Engineering and Williams Heritage will also be celebrated at the event at the Birmingham NEC between January 14-17 2016.

The eight metre-high motorhome used by Williams Martini Racing will be erected alongside the main stage at the show, the first time it will be erected away from a race circuit, and will be a focal point for the whole weekend.

There will also be interactive features focusing on the Formula 1 exploits of the team, with Williams Martini Racing’s Deputy Team Principal Claire Williams saying the team is delighted to be able showcase its history in Birmingham.

“Autosport International is the world’s biggest racing car show, covering every aspect of our sport and the industry that supports it,” said Williams.

“We are delighted that we will have such a major presence at the 2016 event, which will give us the opportunity to celebrate and share our past and present with our fans – and also give visitors the chance to learn about other elements of the Williams organisation that they may not be familiar with.”
