A few weeks after the announcement of the British GT calendar. The 2017 BRDC British F3 schedule has been announced with the season following a similar format. The eight race style that worked so well for them in 2016 will return, as the series once again makes an annual trip to Spa-Francorchamps.
While, the calendar may be subject to change, the championship will start in Oulton Park. This makes a change to this season in which a one of round at Snetterton was used to kick-off the season. The Oulton Opener was last featured on the 2014 BRDC F4 timetable. It will once again take place on Easter bank holiday weekend, with the final two races on the Monday.
As for the one-off round at Snetterton, that has been moved to August, just after the international trip to Spa and Brands Hatch. This will act as the penultimate round of the season, three months after the British GT co-headlined Snetterton round.
The #DoningtonDecider will once again return as the series puts its headlining events; Silverstone and Spa, back to back for the second year in a row. Nothing will change to the weekend format either with the three race weekends returning in 2017.
