Hockenheim hosts the final round of the Formula 3 Euroseries, where two rookies will be dicing with each other to claim Rookie Of The Year, as well as the team’s championship still being up for grabs.
Jules Bianchi may already be champion, but there is still plently left to fight for. Alexander Sims and Valtteri Bottas will do battle in the rookie standings, the pair currently level on points. And their respective teams are battling it out for the team’s championsip, Mücke Motorsport and ART Grand Prix.
ART have won the team’s title every year since the conception of F3 Euroseries back in 2003, under previous guise ASM. However Mücke have stayed in contention this year with consistent points finishes by Sims, Sam Bird and Christian Vietoris.
Meanwhile, a number of guest drivers will make appearances this weekend. Mirko Bortolotti, the young Italian F2 driver once widely tipped for a Ferrari F1 debut, will debut for Carlin Motorsport. Victor Garcia will debut for Prema Powerteam, Nico Monien debuts for Mücke Motorsport and series-returnee Eduardo Mortara will race for Kolles & Heinz Union.
