2009 THP Spider Cup champion Gregory Gulivert has been awarded a Test Drive in Peugeot‘s 908 HDi FAP Le Mans car as a reward for his championship success.
Gulivert swept away the opposition to win 11 of the first 12 races of the season to wrap up the title early on, and hasn’t looked back since. But he is still ecstatic about the chance to test with this year’s Le Mans 24 Hours winners, along with the Peugeot factory drivers at the Paul Ricard circuit.
“It’s taking time for everything to sink in!” said Gulivert. “It’s all happening so quickly. Christophe [Besse, Peugeot Sport engineer] helped me settle in the car to find the ideal driving position, and the best settings for my seat and the pedals, etc.
“I feel very intimidated and I don’t really know what to expect next week. I am worried about not being up to the job, but at the same time I can’t wait to get started!”
He has driven for Peugeot Sport in the past, coming 3rd in the French Super Touring Car Championship in a 406 Silhouette, as well as several kart endurace wins, including winning the Le Mans 24 Hours Karting event 4 times.
