Racing Perfection Confirm House

2 Mins read

The Racing Perfection Ginetta Scholarship have confirmed that former Elf Renault Clio Cup racer Phil House has joined the team as their third instructor, alongside the previously confirmed Shane Kelly, the 2006 Club Formula 3 Champion and Ollie Hancock, the 2008 Formula Renault BARC Champion.

Shane Kelly has a very impressive record, having taken the 1999 National Formula Ford title, as well as the 2006 Club Formula 3 title, and has experience of the Champ Car Atlantic series. Kelly has also teamed up with current Red Bull Formula 1 driver Mark Webber and Robert Doornbos during his career.

For Ollie Hancock, his racing career started in 2003, and has made it up as far as the FIA Formula 2 Championship, after taking a dominant Championship win in the 2008 Formula Renault BARC series. 2008 also saw Ollie selected as a 'Rising Star'.

Ollie's professionalism behind the wheel is also found in the instructors seat, as Erin Baker from The Daily Telegraph found out. Erin said: “I learnt more on a cold, foggy afternoon in a radical SR3 with Ollie Hancock in the passenger seat instructing than I had in four years of track days and a year's racing in a Caterham

For Phil, he has experience in a number of different car makers, from the Formula Vauxhall Junior to Britcar, and Phil has an incredible track record when it comes to instructing, and with honours such as becoming one of the Bentley Driving Consultants for the latest models along with providing the demo laps for the clients.

The Managing Director for Racing Perfection, Steve Bell has this to say about the 3 instructors: “I am really pleased to have Shane, Ollie and Phil involved with the scholarship.  Each of the instructors have very good proven track records and most importantly the skill to successfully communicate and transfer their knowledge and experiences onto other drivers”

“Each instructor has been carefully picked based on previous racing experience and proven track record to ensure all participants in the scholarship receive a very high level of tuition”.

Scholarship Format:

Each participant will be put through their paces on and off the circuit with two track sessions in a Ginetta G20, Media training, fitness analysis and advice. In addition the winner of the scholarship will be provided with a FREE season's racing in the 2010 Ginetta Challenge with the Racing Perfection Race Team including full team support, insurance, track days, additional tuition, entries fees and even hotel fees.
