The Racing Perfection Ginetta Scholarship has confirmed Shane Kelly and Ollie Hancock as the team's instructors.
Shane Kelly has an impressive collection of titles during his career, having won the National Formula Ford title in 1999 and the Club Formula 3 title in 2006, as well as experiencing action in the Champ car Atlantic series. Shane has also worked with Formula One star Mark Webber and Robert Doornbos during his career.
Ollie Hancock started his racing career in 2003 and won the Formula Renault BARC title in 2008, as well as being selected as a 'rising star'. Ollie has made his way into the Formula 2 Championship.
His professionalism isn't just restricted to the cockpit, as a driving instructor as well, and The Daily Telegraph's Erin Baker had this to say about Ollie's ability to instruct: “I learnt more on a cold, foggy day afternoon in a radical SR3 with Ollie Hancock in the passenger seat instructing than I had in four years of track days and a year's racing in a Caterham”
The Managing Director of Racing Perfection, Steve Bell, had this to say about the confirmations: “I am really pleased to have both Shane and Ollie involved with the scholarship. Both have very good proven track records and most importantly the skill to successfully communicate and transfer their knowledge and experiences onto other drivers”.
“All instructors involved with the scholarship are very carefully picked based on previous racing experience and proven track records to ensure all participants in the scholarship receive a very high level of tuition”.
